Dermcare Barzone® 0.25g/L Budesonide Leave-On Conditioner

For use with Dogs.

For the symptomatic treatment of canine atopic dermatitis, contact allergy and other pruritic conditions of the dog.

Barazone® is a novel topical therapy for the symptomatic treatment of Canine Atopic Dermatitis, contact allergy and other pruritic conditions of the dog. It contains the novel active ingredient budesonide, a glucocorticoid, formulated in a leave-on conditioner base.

Budesonide, when applied topically, demonstrates local activity within the skin. It undergoes reversible esterification within cells which increases the retention of the drug within target tissues and thereby prolongs its local activity. Budesonide exhibits prolonged retention in target tissues which makes it an ideal choice for the topical treatment of pruritic skin disease and allows for a reduced frequency of application.

How to use Barazone®:

Barazone® has been formulated in a non-greasy, leave-on conditioner which absorbs into the skin without matting the hair or leaving a residue on the coat. As the active ingredient in Barazone® exhibits prolonged retention in target tissues, this treatment only needs to be applied once weekly, thus reducing the stress of administering regular medication and overall improving owner compliance.

Dosage:

Each pump dispenses 1.5g of Dermcare Barazone® Leave-on Conditioner. Use only the amount needed to treat the affected area. Follow veterinary instruction for the correct dose.
